We are in contact with various forest owners along the Hermannsweg. The forest owners have different sized forest areas and are of course also affected to different degrees by the death of the spruce.
Some accept our support, some would like to freely decide what to grow on their farmland.
We can only do one project at a time at the moment, but we will be introducing the next two projects shortly.
It is the responsibility of the forest owner to maintain and protect our afforestation!
We are not connected to the city's appeal for donations, which only supports the community. It is important to us to support the private forest owners who have lost a large part of their wealth.
In addition, we would like to point out that, from a legal point of view, we do not receive a donation from you, but orders to plant trees.
We make sure that as much of your contribution as possible reaches the forest owner! The GmbH currently has no employee on the payroll! All those involved do it on the side to do something good! (As of: 23.12.2020)
To the person of the managing partner
My name is Stephan Fischer and I am the managing partner of climatebloom GmbH. I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself and explain to you my reasons for founding the company and the selection of projects.
I have been running a sawmill and a timber trade in Schloß Holte - Stukenbrock for 24 years now. There we cut hardwood logs from mostly certified forests in our region. The sawn timber produced is used as a raw material for furniture production, for the manufacture of stairs and doors and other decorative elements.
Through my many years of activity, a continuous and trusting cooperation with the forest offices of the state companies as well as with private forest owners has developed.
The current and dramatic situation caused by the death of the spruce forests has hit many of my suppliers hard. I am shocked to see that some private forest owners have lost a large proportion of their assets - overnight, one can say. Huge open spaces have been created that have to be reforested. The forest owner is autonomous in his decision and can carry out afforestation according to economic (inexpensive!) Or ecological aspects.
We have the unique opportunity to influence and do good in many ways:
to support injured forest owners
to carry out a planting according to the current scientific status, ecologically valuable and climate-stable
To influence the appearance of the forest in our local recreation area
If you should see a conflict between my main activity and the planting project, then I would just like to refer to the growth time and rotation time of 80-160 years.
I am happy to support forest owners together with you, to plant an ecologically valuable and climate-stable forest and to give our region and the local recreation area a beautiful face.
